I like to answer questions that no one asks sometimes.
Questions such as:
What is the best movie you’ve seen lately?
Answer: Hancock
It wasn’t as if it was a profound movie that will make it onto my all time favorites list, but I had a smile on my face for 90% of the movie. And I found myself wanting to see it again with other people. You always know something is good when you want others to experience it.
Question: So what movies are on your all time favorites list?
Answer: Dumb and Dumber, Goodfellas, One flew over the Cuckoo’s nest, Fight Club, Elf, Shawshank Redemption, The Goonies, The Princess Bride, Tommy Boy, Big, Maximum Overdrive, Se7en, Snatch, The Kid, Platoon, American Beauty, Best in Show…
And I’m sure there are many more.
Question: What was the last book that you couldn’t put down?
Answer: It was three books actually. It was a three part story called the Circle Trilogy. The books were called BLACK, RED, and WHITE by Ted Dekker and I could not put them down. I finished three 400-page books in about a weeks time. Read them.
Question: What is your favorite thing to do with friends or family?
Answer: I like to explore new places, or take people to new places I’ve known and loved. Whether it’s a hiking trail or an art museum, a crazy grocery store or a conservatory…it gives me great joy to introduce people to cool venues.
Question: Did you get a new camera?
Answer: Yes I did. I bought a Nikon D90 after selling my D60 last week. I’ve got a couple of different paid photography gigs coming up soon including a wedding next week and it was a great opportunity to step up my equipment. I loved my little D60, but I was used to a few of the more professional features from higher end equipment that I was missing in certain situations.
Be on the look out for some sweet pics coming soon!
Question: Don’t you just love wintertime?
Answer: No. I freaking hate wintertime. Is it over yet?
Question: Are you a Mac or PC guy?
Answer: I’ll admit that I am now a fully converted Mac user and I love Apple products. They’re shiny. That said, I do not think they are far superior to that of PCs…especially in the price department. I love the user-friendly interface for all the things I like to do, such as; photography and video editing, as well as the ease of use for things to “just work” without a lot of extra work involved.
Question: Do you plan to get any more tattoos?
Answer: YES. I have been wanting to get tattooed for some time now. It’s just that whole maintaining-a-family-and-house-and-everything-else-that-takes-priority-over-being-tattooed thing that’s been standing in my way. If you’ve got some fat cash you want to give me…please do so.
Question: What are you going to cook for the Pioneer Woman’s website next?
Answer: I do believe it will have to be my Cajun Meatloaf that everyone seems to drool over. It’s pretty stinking good.

Q: What is your favorite thing to drink?
A: Tea, tea, tea, and tea. Hot tea, cold tea, sweet tea, lemon tea… LOL, thought of that because my friend just bought me a coffee maker for Christmas, at least I can now offer coffee to my guests…

Your childhood seems to have been pretty similar to mine. I wouldn’t change that because it made me who I am but because of that, I don’t remember much of my childhood. I believe it’s my minds way of protecting me- well, either that or I have been losing my mind for awhile. Anyway, because of that, I have to ask, What is your favorite memory from childhood?

I am seriously interested in that Cajun meatloaf as I have yet to ever find a meatload that did not smell like dog food and I’m sure taste even worse.
Can’t wait!
Yipee on your new camera. There is nothing in the world like a new camera or camera equipment.

@ Cecilia & Paul // I want to finish out my sleeve on my right arm. I’ve got about 8-10 hours of tattooing left to go. A gnarly looking image of Jesus has been waiting to go on the inside of my arm.
The first tattoo I got was when I was seventeen with a fake ID. I got a ring of flames tattooed around a virgo symbol on my back. Not sure why…just always have been drawn to them.

Your movie list makes me laugh-you have most of my favorites, mixed in with my hubby’s faves! I hated se7en, LOVE Shawshank, but you left out Heat and Carlito’s way, two more faves!
Hate winter? Move here to Cali-it really only lasts about two months…with little to no snow or freezing temps!

So I love your pics and want to get a camera like yours-only I am wondering which lens you recommend for it? Also, I already own a Nikon camera N60 and am wondering if it is possible to use my lens from that on a digital Nikon? The lens is a Quantaray 70-300 mm 1:4-5:6 LD Tele-macro (1:2). Obviously, I know nada about cameras-sorry! Thx!!!

on the subject of tattoos. Most everyone I know or associate with have no problems with my various tats. I do occasionally run across a few upturned noses that frown on the idea that I call myself “Christian” yet have and want more tattoos. I have even been shown in old testament scripture where it is specified that we should not be tattooed… and then I get the age old, “the body is a temple, it should be clean and yada-yada” I usually tell them I completely agree, (blank stares at this point) then I mention King Solomon and point out that the first thing he did to THE temple after construction was decorate it with art… I get a lot of yea but’s and well that’s not the…. after that. The way I see it, raised arms of ink praise the same…..

Aww..A D90! I’ve been dreaming of one for quite some time now (I’m still stuck with my D40 for the moment). How do you find the D90’s video feature??
