I love being a man…

Remember our pretty tree?

ChristmasTree

Well here’s what it looked like last night:

You just can’t beat a 14 degree night with a glass of Pinot Grigio and a La Aroma De Cuba cigar.

That is awesome! There really is something about a glass of wine, a nice cigar, and a roaring fire to make a night right.

I wish we could do that!!!! Our management would definitely kick us out if we did though, so we have to strap it to the roof of our car (again) and drive it to a tree recycling place about 15 minutes from here… fun. By the time we get there, the needles will have probably fallen off! :o)

I can think of loads of things that are better than being tipsy, frostbit, and “green”. Men have a strange sense of what’s great….

When I was in college I had friends who were professional firefighters. They were the biggest pyros I’ve ever met. They would save their pocket money all year to buy junker furniture from second-hand stores and make a ginormous pyre on the 4th of July. They’d all stand around the thing while the flames licked the sky and drink beer and talk about how much they loved their jobs. Men.
    I don’t want flames unless I’m broiling meat…

that’s way cool, and i am surely not a guy. You can keep the cigar, but a glass of wine would be just the thing.

Really like the fire. The wine sounds wonderful right now. And while I don’t smoke at all, much less cigars, I sure like the smell of them - does that make me strange? Good!

Haha, I wish we could burn our trees. We seem to have been under a perpetual burn ban since the first Christmas we moved here. So now we just have four sad, brown, very old Christmas trees stacked at the edge of the woods, behind the storage shed. The little chickens like to hide in them. :)

    Fire….Fire…..Fire…..

ok…I would have done that too….but the wife reminded me that it was an artificial tree and we use it year after year.

Obviously that is a REAL tree….Artificial trees only turn into a blue/green blob of toxic flaming sludge and leave us with nothing more than noxious smoke, blazing heat, and plenty of scrap metal for coat hangers…..
