…and in those times, I like to play mind-numbing strategy games.
Lately, I’ve been consumed with:
Fieldrunners is a tower-defense game where you have to protect your base from enemies getting across. You build up weapons stronger and stronger to destroy ever-increasing foes. It’s only available on the iPhone/iPod Touch and it costs $4.99…sometimes you catch it on sale though.
If you’ve got an iPhone or an iPod Touch…you have to buy this game. For all the times you’ve been stuck in a waiting room, you have to buy this game. If you’ve got a friend with an iPhone or iPod Touch…make them buy it so you can play it. It’s the best.
In the free realm…flash games are always fun. Our friend Elaine (who is a great blogger by the way) turned me on to this one last weekend:
It’s called Filler 2 and you can play it here:
http://www.shockwave.com/gamelanding/filler2.jsp
There’s an annoying advertisement at the beginning…the game shows up after that.
Essentially, you’re trying to fill up a screen 2/3 of the way full with bubbles. Try it out and you’ll see why it’s addicting.
So, I’m wondering…what games are you playing when you need a break? If it’s online…can you post a link to it? Cool beans.

I like the playfish games at Facebook. Bowling, How Big is Your Brain, Geo Challenge….quick games with fun graphics. I don’t have an iphone. I knit in waiting rooms and school parking lots.

The Sims2. There’s nothing like digging around in a virtual garden to feel at piece.

I like Zuma. It’s by PopCap games, and it’s available on Facebook. I think you can play it off other sites, too.

I’m wishing that I had an iPod Touch or iPhone. When I am online though, I like to check out Jay is Games at http://jayisgames.com/

I don’t have a fancy touch screen anything so I have to play games the old fashioned way. On my computer.
I play MySpace/Facebook games. Texas Hold ‘em is fun, though I always lose. I also play Mafia Wars a lot. When I’m having a bad day, it always makes me feel better to see “You punched ____ in the face.”
Yahoo has some fun games. I can get sucked into Collapse or Pyramids for hours. And I was really addicted to Diner Dash for a while, but then I beat them and that took all the fun out of it.

FieldRunner sounds very much like the ‘classic’ Onslaught tower defense game. Play for free online at http://onslaught.playr.co.uk/

Ok, thanks for getting me hooked on this new game! I bought Fieldrunner and Lisa and I spent about 2 hours last night playing. I finally unlocked the second map this morning. Wow, that game is addicting!
Another one to check out that is MADLY frustrating is Falling Balls. Last I checked it was free. Let me know how many points you get before you pull your hair out and throw your iPhone against the wall.

I made it to level 39 of Filler 2, I have one of the top 150 highest scores of all time, over 100,000 points. (Sadly the thing messed up and wouldn’t let me submit my score). I plan on never playing that game again

The only two game sites that I really play on are http://www.nitrome.com and http://www.orisinal.com
they both have really unique, creative games that are totally addicting.

Ok, now I’m not going to play that stupid game anymore. I played two more games, made it to level 41, have a score of 158,417 points, am ranked 6 for the day, 30 for the week, and 43 for the month. This game made me 5 minutes late for church. Stupid game.

I love to play solitaire! I love better when I beat the computer! The game I like to play most is Dr. Mario on the WII! It is an online version though the WII of the Original Nintendo! It is like a “Tetris”, arranging colors in order to destroy and not get to the top.

Beat the first map on hard. Got to round 95 on hard for the second map. Hoping to knock it out soon. I blame this all on you.

I would have to go with text twist (http://get.games.yahoo.com/proddesc?gamekey=texttwist). I could also play bejeweled 2 for years (http://www.king.com/opengame.jsp?language=en_US&game=bejeweled2).
by the way, nice blog, adorable daughter, and beautiful wife!

I know I’m a lil late posting, but I really want to share this game I’ve been playing. I can get away from it when I need to, which is good. It’s challenging - especially if you don’t want to buy the game and you keep closing out and reopening a new window to replay where you left off, it gives you 5 minutes per screen…and it’s so fun!! Check it out!!

I LOVE TextTwist on msn games. Here is the link http://zone.msn.com/en/texttwist/default.htm?intgid=hp_TopFreeOnline_2_TextTwist. Flowerz is also a great one on msn games: http://zone.msn.com/en/flowerz/default.htm?intgid=hp_TopFreeOnline_7_Flowerz. I’m also addicted to Egyptian Majong, but it came on a cd from Wal-Mart. I just love playing games!

I am currently having TONS of fun with an Iphone App that my husband developed!
My 6 yr old daughter and I just crack up over it. You can take any picture and any sound and put them together to make the mouth talk. It’s hilarious!
It’s called Say What !?!
You can find it at Itunes App store. Marmot Kilt is the developer.
Enjoy!
