Beautiful! Like the others, I would love to see it in color, and hear a bit of the story behind the sleeve.

I have three tattoos currently. Two were pretty impulsive decisions, but I still love them. The third I received a month or so ago, and is the first of many going up my spine (from my tail bone to my hairline). My first one says family in Japanese Kanji, which is the most important thing in my life.

The next three (which I have an appt for, for a week from tomorrow!!!!) are going to be Serenity, Courage, and Wisdom from the serenity prayer (all in kanji). My 14 year old son is in rehab (9 months sober today YAHOO), and the serenity prayer has become so important to me, and is what gets me through the day, each and every day.

Haven’t decided what the next ones will be, but the final one will be love. Life starts and ends with family and love, and I feel that would be very appropriate for me

The tattoo artist did a fantastic job. That’s my fear, if I ever decided to get one the person would just do really terrible work.

I would be interested to know the details of your tattoos and why you chose each one. I noticed the Lion and the scripture. What scripture is it?

Tell me… how can you manage to look that calm and almost bored while someone is tattooing one of the most painful areas of your body?!?! I can’t believe it! My friend got a supersmall star on her elbow and she was in soo much pain… I’m afraid to get ANYTHING done.

Oh my! I’ve been longing to get a tattoo for YEARS, but I don’t think I can handle the pain. I think I’d pass out after 5 minutes, let alone 3 hours.

Oy, and not just any place on your arm. The inside, fleshy part! I heard that’s supposed to hurt more than any other part of your body. And you’re just sipping your coffee, all calm. Crazy preacher man. Crazy!

Wow! Awesome sleeve. It looks great, and I’m sure it was really uncomfortable to get. But well worth it. Do you have pics of all of it? I’m sure we’d all love to see them.
