Finally. Our shed has been an eyesore for the six years we’ve lived in our house. It’s pretty much the only thing we haven’t re-done on the outside of our house. After a series of storms and major ice/snowfalls the roof fell in…mostly. It was finally time for us to do something about it.
Playing with an oldschool photoshop action:
Here’s a video of how it went down:
Shed Destroyers from Ryan Detzel on Vimeo.
After contemplating a $300 dumpster rental to get rid of the old shed, we opted for a different idea:
And here is a hillbilly-parenting photo…and yes, Ava is only 2 and a half years old and she can ride a bike:
And here’s my new parking space…well…once it’s clean:
Nothing beats that glow.
Now I’ve just got to find something on the cheap to replace it with!

I like Ryan Doan beating it with a stick…that made me laugh out loud. Good job you manly men.

That is exactly what my husband would have done with the shed. He looooooves himself a good bonfire!

I would’ve just set fire to the structure and forget the ripping it down stuff! Great job guys!

Ahahahaha, “boys and their toys”, hehehehe

What I want to know is, how did you guys decide who got to drive the tractor? Arm wrestle? Cage fight? Rock-Paper-Scissors?

I always think it’s interesting that men like to destroy stuff. What’s up with that? Real men don’t wear protective eyewear.

I was cracking up watching Ryan Doan beat it with the stick or bar… Oh man. I also love the pic of Ava, at least you made her wear a helmet.

I love it that you called the photo of Ava a hillbilly-parenting photo. So…do we refer to this as a barn-destroying instead of a barn raising?

Awesome last picture. The environmentalist in me really contemplated on the junk you were releasing into the atmosphere though. I hope it wasn’t too toxic, especially since it was so close to your living quarters.

I love how you manned the camera while everyone else worked…

You could have used the shed for chickens! Dang.

You can put a giant card board cut out of me to remind you of something great.
