I’m so thankful to all of you who have partnered with me for this venture. Be it through prayer or financial assistance I want to say THANK YOU for your support!!
I would like to give something away when I get back…PHOTOGRAPHY!! I’m sure I’ll get some good shots in such a beautiful place and I want to give a nice one away to you. When I return, I’ll put together a photo set on FLICKR of my Honduras trip. You’ll then be able to choose any image you want and I’ll have it printed in a high-quality 16×24 and send it to you!

I walked into our living room yesterday and saw an envelope sitting on the desk. This photo was inside. It’s of Allison, her Grandma Alice, myself, and Allison’s cousin Matt. Allison’s Grandma Alice passed away a couple of months ago. I blogged about her a while back in this photo set.
I’ve never had anyone really close to me die…until Alice. I realize I am extremely spoiled in this regard and that’s why I teared up when I saw this photo from several years back.

It’s a stupid movie about a stupid family with a stupid dog that dies at the end. Okay fine…it was actually a good movie, but it was stupid because I cried, thus proving that I am at least a partial wuss.
I just can’t deal with animals in pain…kill it…okay…but don’t let it suffer!

Click on the image above to hear Susan Boyle sing Les Miserables I dreamed a dream on Britain’s Got Talent. Underdog stories always get me.

This movie tore me up. Parents beware…this is an amazing true story that is sure to cause you to go kiss your offspring a couple hundred times and really start praying for protection over them.

I have probably spanked Ava 5 times. 3 of those times were within one week about a month ago. For whatever reason, Satan seemed to indwell Ava during that week and we tried everything to keep her under control…it just wasn’t working. It got to the point that she was throwing maniacal tantrums in public and hitting/kicking/biting at us as hard as she could!
I gave Ava a couple smacks on her butt over a couple of days and she would calm down and understood that we meant business. The third spanking that week was just too hard though and I ended up leaving a mark on Ava’s little bottom. She told us she was sorry after calming down and that she didn’t want to get spankings anymore. I cried (in private) when I saw the mark I had left on her.
Talk about feeling horrible. It’s strange when your strength becomes your weakness.
I apologized to Ava and told her that I never wanted to spank her again…and I’m happy to report that I haven’t had to. She’s been really good since that week. Thank heavens. Personally, I am not against spanking…but I am going to try everything possible to not do it again.

Anyone else out there a crybaby-wussjob-ninny?
