August 9th is approaching quickly. Babies often show up a week or two early and with that in mind, I could be a daddy again in approximately 8-10 weeks. * holy crap I’ve got to get that room finished * Allison is doing great and she look gorgeous. She ended up having an emergency C-section with Ava and I’ve never seen someone as tough as her. She’ll be great with this one too.
Not finding out the gender of the baby is a lot of fun. It’s so exciting to try to figure out what this baby will be like. I also get a serious kick out of how angry everyone gets that we aren’t finding out. Teehee. We’re pretty sure we’ve come to an agreement on the names at this point.
If it’s a girl…which I’m thinking it is: Scarlett
If it’s a boy: Finley – Finn for short
Want to make me angry? Say that you don’t like these names…go ahead…say it. Just kidding. Sort of. We’re still unsure of middle names at this point, but we’re open to suggestions if you want to take a shot at it.
Anyway – I’m wondering so much what this new baby’s personality will be like. Having Ava around for nearly 3 years has given us the full slant of her personality. We know all of her little quirks. We know what she likes to eat. We know all of her routines and favorite things to do. No matter how hard I try, I just keep thinking that our new baby will be like Ava…and I know that’s not going to happen.
It’s probably best too. I’m not sure the world could handle another one of these:
I wonder if the new baby will like anchovies?
