Eight of us headed out to Red River Gorge this past weekend for some camping. We survived torrential rains, climbed massive objects, hiked many trails, jumped off of various things, locked eyes with venomous snakes, spelunked hidden caves, cooked over fires, played Euchre, and wore ourselves out thoroughly.
Good times.

Looks like SO much fun… ‘cept I’m deathly afraid of heights. That next-to-last pic makes my stomach hurt.

Great! Nice imagery.

I have never wanted to go camping more in my life than I do right now. I don’t even care if it’s just with this group of guys…looks like so much fun!!

These are awesome pictures. The thought of one of us falling to our death crossed my mind more than once this weekend.

I’m glad you all had a great time and tha tyou all made it home safely. We missed you guys this weekend!

Great shots, Ryan! What a great time all you guys must have had together.
You would NOT catch me on that rock you are on in #4. HELL NO! I have developed such a fear of heights. I am panicking just looking at that dude perched on the cliff.
I LOVE the first campfire shot…#9 I think. What kind of snake is that?? Is it poisonous? I know the red/yellow/black poem…but, since there is no red or yellow…lol
TFS. Almost makes me want to go camping. : )

TheDan is correct. danger was afoot.

Cool photos…

Great picture; great scenery–looks like a lot of fun. The snake–that’s another story. lol

Looks like you had a great “guy” week-end! Great photos!

See, being up that high just does not look like fun to me. But I’m sure you had a great time. That said, I will sit here quietly with my feet on the blessedly firm ground and live vicariously through you;-)

Looks like you guys had a good time. Unfortunately, our trip ended in disaster. I did enjoy talking to you on Saturday. Maybe our next trip will be better.

Those are the best photos I have ever seen in my LIFE!
God-FREAKIN- speed!

looks like fun! Take me with you the next time you go =)

Looks like a fun time! Love your tattoo’s…you remind me of my son…he is one colorful character as well.

Looks like the boys had fun!

That third photo is FAB-U-LOUS! Again…so much to learn!

Beautiful country. And, proof that boys will be boys at any age.

Nice pics. I like the stuck-between-two-rocks shot
BTW excellent new header photo!!!

Great pictures, it looks you you all had a ball. I miss Euchre…no one here in California plays it. I did get to play a few weeks ago when my daughter came for a visit…we taught my 12 year old son how to play!!

Looks like such fun was had by all!! I think I’m overdue for some sort of adventure…

Looks like a blast! And there are some AMAZING pictures! Good memories! There is a place where we went rock climbing as kids -only on a MUCH smaller scale, but the memories will stay with me forever!

Amazing pictures!! Looks like fun!!

Ah, male bonding. Is that a bottle cap right in front in the crazylight picture? I really like how you capture light. So cool. And one of the many reasons I don’t ‘camp’ is that snake. I stay in my place, he stays in his-only fair. The last picture would make a great album cover. What did you say to make them smile?
{reply}
Boys!
I’ll probably get slammed by someone for that comment. But it’s true.
Looks like a great time.

Fantastic picts. Its great that you have a group to do the “guy thing” every now and again. That’s important.
{reply}
Way, waaaay awesome!
{reply}
Great photos! I have to point out though that you boys are baaaad. No seatbelts buckled in the first pictures. Looks like a good time was had by all!
{reply}
You lost me there with the snake pic . . . Not fun.
Was it a rattlesnake?
{reply}
Love the pictures, they’re awesome. Looks like you all had a great time. But why are none of you wearing your seat belts?

[...] so this crew is clearly afraid of absolutely nothing. This is not family tent camping; more like, “Are you [...]
Those photos are awesome! I recently purchased my first SLR and I hope I’m able to catch some shots that nice. Of course, I don’t want to be standing out on a rock with nothing below me to get them….

People keep asking what that snake is. It’s a copperhead. It seems to be a big year for them here in NC, and I imagine in TN as well. I see them on my runs frequently, even though I run on a popular paved trail.
Ryan, this trip looks awesome. I’m never free from the camping bug, but you just aggravated it!
Of course I don’t mind . . .
