The vineyards are even more beautiful in the fall. The leaves are all colors from brown to golden to yellow to green and red. I grew up in Hopland (about 60 miles north of Sonoma. My dad was a commercial pilot and drove to work from Hopland to San Francisco where he was based…he always said that out of everywhere he had been around the world, the drive from San Fran to Hopland was the most beautiful, with the vineyards all taking colors.
I hope you will be able to make it to one of the Redwood Forests…They truly make you feel so small. The best ones are in Mendocino county, but there are some amazing ones in Santa Clara county as well (Santa Cruz area)

Ideal vacation. I’ve been a lot of places, but I have this mental picture of what I want my future ideal vacation to be. I always imagine taking my two boys, when they’re old enough, back to any one of my favorite places and sharing it with them. Sharing it with them will be ideal.

England, Scotland, Ireland. For a week or two a piece. Of course I’d love to go with someone I can hold hands with the entire time. =o)

hmmm my ideal vacation? I would love to ride the Siberian railroad all the way across. how awesome would that be!!! other dream vacation would be a tour of the Scandinavian countries. Ive visited Sweden already and fallen in love…looking forward to see more of those beautiful places!!
