A very wise person once said that having kids is like allowing your heart to walk around outside of your body. I understand this sentiment during times like today. Ava has just left the nest. Today is her first official day of preschool. As for Allison and I…could someone please kill us? Where did our baby go?

I have no idea what she’s doing with her eyebrows in these photos. That’s what happens of course…she’s making decisions that have not been approved by her parental units and all of the sudden her eyebrows are doing strange things. Our world is getting slippery and we’re losing our grip fast.

Little punk. Who even gave her that backpack? She feels so empowered wearing it. Freaking heck.

It’s okay though…we’ve got a new one now. One that we can snuggle as much as we want and he can’t get away…Mwahahaha.

I can still dress this one how I want to. He doesn’t even care if I put his onesie on upside-down.

If you ask me, I think this toga-style baby gear is going to catch on.

But he’s already giving me that look. He’s already plotting the days when he can escape my grasp.

I hope Allison is up for having another one when this one gets away.
