I had a dream last night about angels. I was flying around with them and looking into people’s lives. It was clear that we had specific jobs to do and that we loved doing them. The angels were funny…sarcastic actually. They were like people you’d enjoy hanging around with. You know, the kind of people that are good enough friends that you don’t have to entertain them. They’re cool to just be there.
I’m not really sure what to take from the dream. It was long and detailed, which feels important. I have no findings to report, but I did feel inspired enough to create a couple of desktop wallpapers.

It’s cold outside. I needed some warmth. So I changed the desktop background on my computer to this image I took in South Carolina and thought you might want to as well. Click the photo for a big one.
You can save it as your desktop background, or you have my full permission to get it printed. It should look great in pretty much any size up to 16 x 24 inches…maybe even 20 x 30. Frame it up nicely and hang it in your place, or give it to someone else for Christmas. Or both.

Holy cripes. Allison and I went to two different preschools this morning to see about getting Ava enrolled when school starts back up. She’ll be really young, just having turned three in August when she would start. I felt pretty good about this until we actually got to the places and then I found myself really worrying a little bit.
* Will they be teaching her stuff that I don’t really care for her to be learning?
* Is she going to be sick all the time?
* Can I trust these people with my child?
* Is this really worth the money?
Honestly, I think it’s going to be good. And it’s only two and a half hours a day for three days out of the week. We’ll see how it goes. I’m fairly confident that we’ve picked a good one and I know that Ava will have a blast.
And now for something completely different.
I made a few variations of a wallpaper in photoshop last night. Brushes and filters are fun. Use one of them if you should feel so inclined.
